![]() The biggest disappointment was the poor quality food. With that said, the store itself was nice and well stocked. I'm not sure if they were just trying to not be helpful because they figure we weren't hotel guests or if they were just that uninformed about the property. We had some very rude cashiers in the General Store. The pool bar was non-existent at the time of our stay and they didn't have anyone staffing the pool area. The pool was nice but there were no poolside bathrooms, showers or changing rooms. There were no phones to call the front desk to ask questions or make requests for extra supplies (they only gave us 3 towels, 2 wash cloths and 1 roll of toilet paper). The 2 bedroom villas were odd -the air conditioning unit only cools the front room (which is the combo bedroom/living space with the sofa sleeper) while the second bedroom in the back gets quite hot. Not sure if they were just trying to be very strict with the 3:30pm check-in time or if they were actually clueless. If they knew enough that it wasn't ready, then they had to know which room we were assigned. This was fine except that they wouldn't even tell us which room we were in. We arrived 20 minutes before the official check-in time and were told our room wasn't ready and we'd have to come back in 20 minutes. The front desk employees were not very accommodating. Those who are complaining, need to spend more time in the beautiful nature around the resort and less time in their hotel rooms. Although there is some work still do be done, this is a great resort and is the perfect outpost for a Yosemite vacation. ![]() Smores every night and live music poolside was a nice touch. The activity desk was always there to help with trip planning and had great ideas to share. There is plenty to do close by including an awesome hike at Carlon Falls about a mile away. The location was perfect, just about 1/2 mile outside of the entry gate to Yosemite, but still a good 30-45 min drive to the valley floor. We were a bit worried based on our the reviews after opening, but we had a great stay and would definitely return in the future. The pool, restaurant and tavern are all open and the general store has a variety of good snack, beverages and great options for the whole family. The resort is still undergoing some construction, but was not of any concern during our stay. Family of 4 stayed in a King Lodge Room from July 27-30 and had a great time.
